Leather
I use full-grain vegetable- and oil-tanned leather for its combination of strength, durability, flexibility, and natural character. Full-grain leather retains the outermost layer of the hide, preserving its natural grain and dense fibre structure. Vegetable tanning gives the leather a firm, structured feel, while oil tanning adds flexibility and helps prevent it from becoming dry or brittle.
This makes it well suited to harnesses and other pieces that experience regular wear, tension, and movement. It has a sturdy feel while remaining flexible enough to move naturally with the wearer and maintain its shape over time.
Each hide has its own natural grain and subtle variations in texture, making every piece slightly unique. If you prefer leather that feels strong and substantial while remaining flexible, full-grain leather offers a good balance of structure and movement. With regular use and care, it develops a natural patina, becoming richer in character and more individual over time.
Available Colours: Black, Blue
Leather Care & Maintenance
To keep the leather in good condition, occasionally apply a small amount of leather conditioner or oil with a soft cloth. This helps maintain flexibility and prevents the leather from drying out. Avoid over-conditioning, as too much oil can soften and darken the leather.
A suitable leather wax can also be applied to provide additional protection against moisture, dirt, and everyday wear. For pieces exposed to harsher conditions, a protective leather treatment or cover can provide extra protection.
The leather is water-resistant but not waterproof. If it becomes wet, wipe away excess moisture and allow it to dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat. Once dry, a light application of conditioner can help restore its natural oils. High humidity or very dry environments may require more frequent maintenance.
Veg Tanned Leather
I use premium leather with a high-gloss PVC coating to create its distinctive patent finish. The smooth coating gives the leather a sleek, uniform appearance with a strong shine, while the leather underneath provides flexibility and strength.
If you prefer something sleek, bold, and visually striking, patent leather offers a very different look from traditional natural-grain leather. Its glossy surface catches the light and gives each piece a clean, polished appearance, making it particularly suited to harnesses and accessories where the finish is an important part of the overall design.
The PVC coating also provides added resistance to moisture, dirt, and everyday marks, making the surface relatively easy to clean and maintain. The underlying leather remains flexible, allowing the finished material to move naturally with the wearer.
Unlike full-grain leather, patent leather has a smooth and consistent appearance with little visible natural grain. If you prefer a uniform, high-shine finish rather than the natural texture and developing patina of traditional leather, patent leather is a good choice.
Available Colours: Black, Blue, White, Purple, Deep Red, Yellow, Mustard, Pink, Fuchsia, Lavender
Patent Leather Care & Maintenance
Patent leather is relatively easy to maintain. Dust and dirt can usually be removed with a soft, slightly damp cloth, followed by gently drying the surface with a clean cloth. Avoid abrasive materials, strong cleaners, oils, waxes, and standard leather conditioners, as these can dull, damage, or cloud the PVC coating.
For storage, keep patent leather away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and prolonged contact with other materials. The PVC surface can be susceptible to marking and colour transfer, so storing pieces separately is recommended. Avoid folding or sharply creasing the material for extended periods, as this can stress the coating and potentially cause cracking over time.

I use Chèvre goatskin for its combination of softness, strength, flexibility, and distinctive natural grain. Goatskin is naturally lightweight while being surprisingly durable, making it a good choice for pieces where flexibility and comfort are important without sacrificing resilience.
If you prefer a leather that feels soft, supple, and lightweight, Chèvre offers a different experience from heavier full-grain leathers. Its fine, naturally textured grain gives the surface a subtle character, while its flexibility allows it to move comfortably with the wearer.
Goatskin is also naturally resistant to abrasion and tends to hold up well with regular use. Its relatively low weight makes it particularly suitable for pieces where you want the strength and character of genuine leather without the heavier feel of thicker hides.
Each hide has its own natural grain and variations, making every piece slightly unique. With regular use and care, the leather will develop its own character over time.
Available Colours: Black, Blue, White, Purple, Deep Red, Yellow, Mustard, Pink, Fuchsia, Lavender
Chèvre Goatskin Care & Maintenance
To keep the leather in good condition, gently remove dust and dirt with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. A small amount of suitable leather conditioner can occasionally be applied to maintain the leather's suppleness, but avoid over-conditioning as this can soften the leather excessively.
Keep the leather away from prolonged exposure to water, excessive heat, and direct sunlight. If it becomes wet, gently wipe away any excess moisture and allow it to dry naturally at room temperature. With sensible care, Chèvre goatskin will remain soft, flexible, and durable while developing its own character through use.

I use Walpier Dollaro leather, a premium Italian vegetable-tanned leather known for its distinctive textured grain, strength, and durability. The Dollaro finish gives the surface a subtle, slightly pebbled texture that helps hide minor marks and gives the leather a practical yet refined appearance.
It has a firm, structured feel while remaining flexible, making it particularly well suited to harnesses and other pieces that experience regular wear, tension, and movement. The textured surface also gives the leather a tactile quality and helps each piece retain its character through use. It acts as a scratch resistant embossed layer of leather that can be stitched onto any project to add a unique look and another layer of protection.
If you prefer a strong, structured leather with a distinctive textured finish, Dollaro offers a different look and feel from smooth or highly polished leathers. As a vegetable-tanned leather, it will naturally develop more character and a deeper patina with use.
Available Colours: Yellow, Orange, Green, Red, Purple
